Allergic Fungal Sinusitis

These criteria are the same as for the diagnosis of Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis except that they pertain to the paranasal sinuses instead of the bronchi.  Every patient with a possible diagnosis of allergic fungal sinusitis should meet the following criteria:

Major criteria:

  • Biofilm or allergic mucin in the sinus(es).
